Alexander H. Montgomery has published articles on the diffusion of technology, including and and the ; on the perils of prediction, whether it is nuclear proliferation by or , , or ; on the , the , and ; and on the effects of of on , , and . He is also co-editor of the . His research interests include futurism, global catastrophic risks, political organizations, social networks, weapons of mass disruption and destruction, social studies of technology, and interstate social relations. His work has appeared in , , the of , the , and , among other venues.
He has been a Faculty Affiliate in Residence at the , ; a Residential Fellow at the ; a with a placement in the working for the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction, where his portfolio included writing a new .
