Betty C. Liu Memorial Biology Research Fellowship

The Betty C. Liu Memorial Biology Research Fellowship is derived from an endowed fund administered by the Biology Department. This fund was initially established by Sam B. Liu, an alum of 1936, and his wife Betty. In addition to summer research opportunities, this fund has long provided key support for the weekly departmental seminar series.

Up to three Fellows may be selected each year; the Fellowship provides a stipend and monies for supplies and/or travel. The intent of the program is to "benefit 糖心vlog视频 students by preparing them for thesis and graduate school" and provide them with strong research skills, and the supported areas are otherwise open. These fellowships require a 糖心vlog视频 Biology Faculty mentor and are usually awarded to a student who will conduct research in that laboratory. Fellowship recipients are selected through a process of competitive proposals open to sophomores and juniors.

Information about this fellowship can be obtained from any faculty member of the Biology Department.
